The Northalsted Business Alliance 17th Annual Halloween Parade

Traffic & Parking Advisory

The 2013 Annual Halloween Parade will be held on Thursday, October 31st along Halsted Street from Belmont to Addison.

Registration will be at 6:30pm at the staging area at Halsted and Belmont.

The event will start at 8pm on Halsted at Belmont and end (disband) on Halsted at Addison. (Neither Belmont nor Addison will be closed.)

Parking will be prohibited from 3pm to midnight on Thursday, October 31 on the following streets:

  • Halsted: Belmont to Addison: 3200N to 3600N
  • Roscoe: 800W to 824W

ALL VEHICLES LEFT ON THESE STREETS WILL BE TICKETED AND TOWED!

Please be advised:

  1. Halsted from Belmont to Addison will be closed to traffic from 4pm to midnight.
  2. Melrose, Aldine, Buckingham, Roscoe, Newport, Cornelia, and Brompton, east and west from Halsted to each alley, will be closed to traffic from 4pm to 11pm.

17th Annual Halloween on Halsted Parade Participation Info

This year’s Northalsted Halloween Parade Theme is Twisted Circus! Join your friends and neighbors for the best Halloween celebration in Chicago!

Come dressed as clowns, sword swallowers, bearded ladies, and ringmasters celebrating the Twisted Circus theme of any costume creation you choose! Participation waivers are required for individuals marking in the parade. Participation waivers can be found here.

Prefer to watch instead of march? Enjoy the fun from the street beginning at 8pm.

6:30pm: Registration for the parade at Belmont Avenue
8:00pm: Parade begins and will travel north on Halsted to Addison

To help you navigate around the 44th Ward, please be aware of the following street closures:

Sheridan Road: from Diversey Parkway to Belmont Avenue
7:00 am – 10:45 am

Inner Lakeshore Drive: from Belmont Avenue to Addison Street
7:00 am – 10:45 am

Addison Street: from Inner Lakeshore Drive to Broadway
7:00 am – 10:45 am

Broadway: from Addison Street to Diversey Parkway
7:00 am – 10:45 am

Clark Street: from Diversey Parkway to Webster Avenue
7:00 am – 11:00 am

Alderman Tom Tunney welcomes you to download the official 44th Ward App.  Our goal is to provide updated information to residents about the community and provide an easy way to communicate with our office.

The 44th Ward app allows users to report potholes and place city service requests such as graffiti removal, a street/alley light out and rodent baiting. It also provides information on street cleaning, residential parking, Cubs games, community alerts and important City programs.
