Meeting 2/25 with Vermilion Developers
For those of you who were unable to attend the last East Lakeview Neighbors meeting, Vermilion developers have agreed to come out to our area again to present their proposal for an 8-story building on the plot of the former Mobil gas station at the corner of W. Sheridan and N. Broadway. Here are the meeting details:
When: Thursday, 2/25, 7:00pm
Where: Gill Park
Someone at the front desk will direct you to the meeting room. Please consider attending this meeting to learn more about the proposed development, and to voice any concerns you may have. The 46th Ward Zoning Committee is meeting on 2/29 and Vermilion’s proposal is on their agenda.
Here’s a high level overview of Vermilion’s plans:
8 stories
100 rental units
65 parking spaces
40% 1 BR, 35% studios, 25% 2 BR
Average = 800 sq ft
Retail = 2,200 sq ft (big enough for a coffee shop, nothing more)
Indoor trash room
Construction time = 14 months
