GREENSPACE CONTEST 2011

Nominate your favorite neighborhood gardens for prizes!

Eligible gardens are those located within the neighborhood stretching from
Addison Street north to Irving Park Road, and from Clark Street east to Lake Michigan.

Entries can be submitted in 1 of 4 categories:	All entries must include:
1) Residential: High Rise	• Name and Address of Garden owner
2) Residential: 6 stories or less	• Garden Category
3) Commercial	• Digital Garden Photo
4) Balcony
Submit entries to green@eastlakeview.org	Submission deadline: August 14

✵ Please note: Winners from 2009 and 2010 are ineligible

Prizes:

First place – $100

Runner up – $50

Each winner receives 2 tickets to ELVN’s Oktoberfest where the prizes will be awarded

Sample Photos:

“Bad”: This is a beautiful garden, but the judges can’t tell that from this picture. Try taking your photos from several angles to get the best shot. Photographing gardens on a cloudy day will eliminate strong shadows.

Good garden photo — “Good”: Vibrant colors, indirect sunlight and a large composition show judges what your garden has to offer.

GREENSPACE 2010

Last year’s Greenspace Contest was a huge success. Neighbors submitted garden photos for a chance to win cash prizes and tickets to ELVN’s Annual Oktoberfest. We received over 50 entries spread across four categories in the East Lake View Neighborhood — We hope you enjoy the winning gardens!
