- Remembrance of ELVN’s Chester Kropidlowski
The 2026 City of Chicago budget
Representatives of alderman Bennett Lawson (44th) and alderwoman Angela Clay (46th) will tell us what’s in it, and how this year’s budget presented key issues about the funding of our neighborhood and our city, discussing trade-offs, solutions, and continuing problems.
The safety of inner Lake Shore Drive at Addison
Jesse Orr, Director of Infrastrucure/Development for the 46th Ward: What is the city’s response to improving pedestrian safety at the scene of two accidents since June that left one pedestrian dead and another severely injured?
Construction/redevelopment reviews:
- 1030 W. Belmont—residential building; five stories tall and 28 units.
- Possible: Renovation of 3700 N. Halsted St., Former Kit Kat Klub site
ELVN members will be asked to comment on the development plans for these two sites.
Cubs report
Will McIntee, Director, Government/Community Affairs, Chicago Cubs, will update us on the bollard and sidewalk construction project, and demolition of the buildings of the former House of the Good Shepard on Grace St.
