Letter from the Cubs to Community leaders

Letter from the Cubs to Community leaders:
Greetings all. Thank you to all who participated in the brainstorming sessions on April 20 and April 26 about the proposed Triangle development near Wrigley Field. As you know, local community leaders and members of neighborhood associations met to brainstorm about potential uses which could benefit the community, in additional to helping preserve and enhance Wrigley Field. More than two-dozen residents and business leaders participated in these sessions and others who could not attend sent comments by email. From our perspective, the discussions were very informative and the input received was extremely valuable as we try to move this project forward.
These meetings are among the first steps in the process of revitalizing the discussion of the for the Triangle parcel adjacent to Wrigley Field. We hope its future development is nearer to the horizon and want to make sure we’ve heard from neighborhood groups so we might incorporate everyone’s thinking into our planning. We are also in the process of conducting surveys of Cubs ticket holders, fans and others, working on a solution to the funding challenges of the development and hoping to work with LVCC on a survey of the broader community.
Thanks to all who participated in making these meetings successful. There will of course be more discussions about the project with our community as we move forward, just as there has been much input and feedback from the community since the original Planned Development was approved in 2005. As always, if you have any comments on the attached, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We will certainly reach out again and continue to invite input into this process.
Thanks!
